Nothing says more about our coaching than the players and families we work with. Here's what they have to say about the progress, confidence and enjoyment children have experienced with Progression Point.

Supporting young players from grassroots football across Greater Manchester.

We can't recommend Callum highly enough. Since starting 1 to 1 coaching, we've seen a huge improvement in Tommy's confidence and ability. His passing, first touch, footwork and 1v1 play have all improved, and he genuinely looks forward to every session.

FAQs

Useful answers before you book.

Short, practical answers for parents and players getting started.

What ages do you coach?

Progression Point works with players of all ages and abilities, from young grassroots footballers taking their first steps in the game through to teenagers and adult players. Sessions are tailored to each individual, whether they're playing for fun, representing a local club or striving to reach the next level.

Do you offer beginner sessions?

Absolutely. Whether someone is completely new to football or already plays regularly for a club, sessions are adapted to suit their current ability, confidence and goals. The focus is always on creating a positive environment where every player can enjoy learning and improving.

Who do you coach?

Callum works with boys, girls, men and women of all abilities. Alongside supporting grassroots players, he has also worked with players from academy environments, including Leeds United and Bradford City Women's youth set-ups. Every session is tailored to the individual, regardless of age or experience.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions are delivered at suitable football pitches and training facilities across Greater Manchester, including Manchester, Stockport, Tameside, Ashton-under-Lyne and surrounding areas. A suitable location will be agreed when booking.

Do you offer both 1 to 1 and group coaching?

Yes. Progression Point offers both individual coaching and small group sessions. One-to-one coaching provides personalised attention and targeted development, while small group sessions encourage game-related learning, decision making and confidence in realistic situations.

Do you run game scenario sessions?

Yes. As well as technical coaching, Progression Point delivers game scenario sessions that recreate realistic match situations. These sessions help players improve their decision making, movement, awareness, communication and confidence under pressure, allowing them to transfer what they learn into real matches.

Can coaching focus on specific areas?

Yes. Every player develops differently, so sessions can focus on whatever will benefit them most. This might include first touch, ball mastery, passing and receiving, dribbling, finishing, movement off the ball, speed of play, confidence under pressure, position-specific coaching or decision making. Every session is planned around the player's individual goals.

What should players bring?

Players should bring suitable football boots or trainers for the surface, shin pads, a drink and clothing appropriate for the weather. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

How long is a coaching session?

Most sessions last around 60 minutes, giving plenty of time for technical work, game-related practices and individual feedback. Session length can be discussed when booking if a different format is required.

How do I book?

The easiest way to get started is by sending a message on WhatsApp. Once we know the player's age, experience and goals, we'll recommend the most suitable coaching option and arrange a convenient location and time.
